AstroBowl

An important event, sponsored jointly by the National Space Club - Huntsville as well as the Alabalma Aerospace Teacher's Association (AATA) is the AstroBowl. This competition is patterned after the "Scholar's Bowl" in which teams of four students compete against one another to test their knowledge of aviation and spaceflight. Teams will be quizzed by a moderator and will race against the opposing team to answer correctly. Teams will compete in district competitions with district winners advancing to a state competition.

Schools across Alabama will be enlisted to participate in this competition. Participating schools will form a team consisting of three student panelists, one alternate student and two teachers serving as team coordinators and advisors.

Competition will be divided into three grade divisions: Grades 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12, with the school teams competing in their respective divisions.

The 2009 AstroBowl has officially been set for April 29th. Please stay-tuned for further updates as to a specific time. We apologize for the inconvenience!
